PWD Clinches Bronze at 2025 Civil Service Week Inter-Ministerial Games.

As part of the annual Civil Service Week Celebration, the Public Works Department (PWD) actively participated in the 2025 Inter-Ministerial Football Games, which brought together ministries and departments in a spirited display of unity, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.

PWD FC started the tournament strong with impressive performances in the group stage. The team demonstrated tactical discipline and determination, winning key matches and emerging as one of the top teams to watch. Each game was a testament to the dedication and training invested in the squad. The strong support from staff and management, as well as the overwhelming encouragement on our digital platforms, motivated the team to keep pushing forward.

PWD FC advanced to the semi-finals and faced the formidable team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Despite a brave performance and several near goals, PWD narrowly lost the match 1 -0. It was a tough contest, but the team held their heads high, knowing they still had a shot at the podium.

The third-place decider took place on Thursday, 24th August 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium. The match drew a massive crowd, with enthusiastic PWD supporters arriving from all offices to cheer on the team. PWD FC faced off against the Ministry of Finance in a match filled with energy, teamwork, and determination. After an intense fullltime, PWD emerged victorious with a 2–1 scoreline, clinching the bronze medal and making history for the department.

This achievement is more than just a football win. It reflects PWD’s core values of resilience, collaboration, and excellence. The players, technical team, and management displayed unity both on and off the pitch, inspiring staff across the country.
